The 2019/20 NPFL season will get a new kick off date and will not get underway on September 22nd, as initially announced by the LMC according to Brila.net sources.
A tentative date of September 22 was initially muted by the league body to herald the commencement of the new football season, however, that decision may now be reversed.
Per Busayo Olowookere reported on Brila FM’s Area Lunch Sports Show that the LMC is considering shifting the resumption to mid-November.
It is also believed plans are also in the works to sign a Television broadcast deal to have coverage of games in the new season.
Last season, the League was an abridged format and the winner emerged through a Super 6 play-off structure.
