Lobi stars’ Daniel Atsaka wants quick resolution on NPFL season

Lobi Stars goalkeeper Daniel Atsaka says he hopes the Nigerian professional football league can be allowed to resume after months of suspension.

The experienced goalkeeper said he and colleagues are frustrated with lack of actions and insisted that watching other leagues on Television makes it very difficult to accept.

“I really hoped the NPFL will resume. I miss the thrills, fun, and suspense of football. I pray we can resume soon. I’ve never felt this emptiness before. I miss football.”

“Just training without a real target at hand or watching others play isn’t the same thing as the League.” Daniel Atsaka said.

Daniel Atsaka might not get his wish as the League Management Company and other stakeholders are looking for a possible solution to determine the final table after just 25 matches.

Possibilities of league resumption were squashed by the Federal Government who made it a clear ban on sports events won’t be lifted soon as coronavirus pandemic continues to be on the rise in the country.

Daniel is one of Lobi stars’ longest-serving players and has played under 7 gaffers at the club.
