Lobi stars head Coach Mohammed Babaganaru has stated that the decision to take the job has proved to be a risk worth taking.

Babaganaru guided the team to safety after the threat of relegation from the NPFL last season.

Lobi Stars were neck deep in the relegation battle, slumping as low as 19th position on the standings when he took charge. The club eventually finished 15th.

In his assessment of the team’s performance last season, Babaganaru told Brila.net that he had a number of people telling him not to take over such a delicate job.

‘I was convinced that the situation at Lobi was redeemable and we managed to get everyone on board.

‘Eventually, We steered the ship to safety, with better points and form in the second half to preserve the club’s top flight status.’
