Super Eagles and Leicester winger, Ademola Lookman was relieved to grab his maiden goal for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Lookman was on target as the Super Eagles pummeled Sao Tome and Principe by ten goals to nothing in African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Monday.
Lookman failed to score in his previous two games for the West African giants and he is delighted to finally registered his name on the score sheet.
“Been waiting for this moment and yesterday I scored my first goal for my nation Nigeria. Thank you to everyone for your support@NGSuperEagles,” The Leicester City forward posted on his Twitter handle.
The former England junior international is expected to keep his place when Super Eagles converge in September for a double-header against Guinea Bissau.
