Lookman edges closer to major Premier League record

Ademola Lookman guided Leicester City to hard fought victory over Crystal Palace in Sunday’s English Premier League.

Lookman netted one of the goals to help the Foxes beat Crystal Palace and pick maximum points at the King Power Stadium.

The Attacker opened the scoring for Leicester City in the 39th minute. He connected with a pass Dewsbury-Hall shimmied away from two Palace defenders before shooting past Guaita.

It was his fifth goal of the Premier League Campaign from twenty appearances for the Brenda Rodger’s men.

Among all players to have scored at least 10 Premier League goals, only Henrikh Mkhitaryan (77% – 10/13) has scored a higher share of his goals on a Sunday than Leicester’s Ademola Lookman (60% – 6/10).

Lookman’s compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho also featured in the game. Iheanacho who has started the last three games was dropped to the bench after recent poor performance in front of goal.

Meanwhile, Dewsbury-Hall, scored the second for Leicester City six minutes later. He capitalised on a rare mistake from Marc Guehi and blasted to the roof of the net.

The two Super Eagles stars will be in action again when Leicester travel to take on PSV in the second leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final on Thursday.
