Lookman, Iheanacho star as Leicester City zoom into Carabao Cup last eight

Kelechi Iheanacho was in action for Leicester City as the triumph over Brighton and Hove Albion in their Carabao Cup clash at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday.

After starting the last three games, Iheanacho was back on the bench as Brenda Rodgers started Patson Daka and Ademola Lookman in the attack.

Ademola Lookman justified his starting spot as he netted the second goal for Leicester City, after Adam Webster canceled out Harvey Barnes sixth minute opener.

The Foxes were pegged back again after Enock Nwepu restored the parity for Brighton in the 71st minute.

With the game heading for a draw, Rodgers opted to replace Lookman with Kelechi Iheanacho on the 72nd minute.

The Nigerian linked up with Daka on numerous occasions, but they failed to find the breakthrough before the final whistle.

However, Leicester City managed to finish off the job in the shootout. They converted all their four attempts, while Brighton missed twice from the spot.
