Lookman on the verge of sealing Serie A move

Ademola Lookman is on the verge of sealing a move to Italian Serie A top side Atalanta.

The Super Eagles forward is currently contracted to German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, but talks over a switch to Italian is progressing.

Lookman is keen to restart his career elsewhere, due to lack of trust and playing time at RB Leipzig.

Despite joining the German team in a deal worth £16m from Everton, the former Charlton Athletic forward has spent the last two seasons on loan at Fulham and Leicester City respectively.

According to Sky Sports Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, the former England junior international wants to end the relationship and join Atalanta permanently.

The move to Italy however is almost a done deal as both Clubs have agreed on settlement and the player agreeing personal terms.

If the move goes through, he will become the latest Super Eagles star to sign for an Italian team this summer after Tyronne Ebuehi (Empoli) and David Okereke (Cremonese).

Victor Osimhen is on the books of Napoli, while Isaac Success will return for Udinese as well and both are also likely to compete in the new season.

Lookman scored six goals in 26 appearances for Leicester last season.
