NFF President Amaju Pinnick, says he can’t wait to see Ademola Lookman in the Green and White jersey of Nigeria.
The Leicester City forward was cleared by the World Football Governing Body to represent the Super of Nigeria.
Lookman who was born in London has represented England at the U17 and U20 levels in the past. He is part of the team that secured the FIFA U20 World Cup for the young three lions in 2017.
Pinnick said, he’s glad the player has completed his switch from England to Nigeria and he’s him to bring winning mentality to the Super Eagles.
“I’m also glad to announce that the work we’ve put in has ensured that on-loan Leicester City winger, Ademola Lookman’s application to change his nationality and represent Nigeria has been approved.”
“Lookman as part of England’s title win at the 2017 U-20 World Cup & brings a winning mentality to our team. I can’t wait to see him make our Super Eagles that more formidable.” He said.
