Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has stated that the team have put behind them the unfortunate 2-0 defeat to Madagascar ahead of this weekend’s round of 16 clash against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions at the ongoing Africa cup of nations in Egypt.
Ezenwa speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Nigerian team is not under pressure and that the most important thing for them as a team is to put the defeat behind them to fix the present and seek solution on how they can come out better with focus firmly on their next game against Cameroon.
“It’s a thing of the last but we just have to fix the present, that’s the most important thing. So we are not under pressure, the manager has made us understand that football sometimes happens that way.
So the most important thing is to put it behind us and focus on the next game. So we are focussed.”
