Maduka Okoye was outstanding as he kept another clean sheet to help Sparta Rotterdam to a 1-0 home win against Go Ahead Eagles, in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.
Okoye has now kept clean sheets in three consecutive game for the Sparta Rotteedam .
Against Go Ahead Eagles, Okoye made two crucial saves in the first half and another one in the second half .
Adil Auassar grabbed the goal for Sparta Rotteedam in the 68th minute and Okoye made a cruial stop in the second to seal the win.
The win took Sparta Rotterdam off the bottom to 16th place (relegation play-off spot) on 20 points in the 18-team league table.
Okoye’s recent performances is a big boost for the Super Eagles ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ghana.
The three time African Champions will trade tackles with the Black Stars later this month and Okoye is hitting form at the right time.
He is expected to be between the sticks for the crucial games in Cape Coast and Abuja .
