England center-back Harry Maguire has reportedly arrived at Manchester United’s Carrington training complex to complete his medical.
After a long summer stand-off, United finally agreed to a £80million deal to sign the England defender after Leicester refused to budge on their valuation.
A black van with tinted windows – which also sported a Triple S Sports & Entertainment Company logo on the front – was filmed arriving at the AON Training Complex on Saturday.
The 26-year-old, who will sign a five-year contract worth up to £200,000 a week with the option for a further 12 months, looks set to become the world’s most expensive defender once his move is finalized.
The fee for Maguire eclipses the world record set by Virgil van Dijk’s £75m transfer from Southampton to Liverpool in January 2018.
He will train with his new team-mates on Monday although it’s unclear if he will play in a behind-closed-doors game against Blackburn Rovers at Carrington on Sunday.
