Maikaba faults Players’ Attitude in Rangers draw

Rangers head Coach Abdullahi Maikaba is furious with his players, after their goalless draw against Sunshine Stars on Saturday.

Rangers were held at home by Sunshine Stars, who continued their impressive run under new gaffer Emmanuel Duetsch.

In his post match presser, Maikaba blamed the result on the lacklustre show from his team.

“I can say that this was the result that we deserve from this game as my players failed to raise their game when it mattered most,” the Rangers Boss said.

“My players did not fight hard enough for us to get the three points hence, the one point we got today against a side came to fight for a draw.”

Rangers have now failed to win any of their last three games and are yet to win a game in the second stanza of the NPFL.

With the result, Rangers maintain third spot in the league standings with 38 points from 23 matches.

They’ll next engage Niger Tornadoes at the Ahmadu Bello stadium, Kaduna in a mid week fixture on April 20.
