Maikaba ready to dump Plateau United for National team job

Plateau United boss Abdul Maikaba has stated that he will quit the Jos-based side if he is ever considered for a role with the National team in the future.

Maikaba in a chat with brila.net revealed his dream to serve the country at the highest level as a coach.
”If I’m given the national team job, I won’t say no, when your country asks you to serve, but if I am not considered, I have my team (Plateau United) – we are in the continent and I will be very happy to take them along on continental games,
However, I have applied for the U20 national team job to coach, if given the job, I will make sure I contribute my own part to the development of the game in the country,”
Maikaba also said that he cannot serve two masters as a coach and that he will relinquish one of the team’s which is Plateau United and focus on the contract with the National team.
”I can’t sign two contracts, one with the NFF and another with the management of Plateau United. So, if I’m given the U20 national team job, I will choose the national team.”
