Malian Goalkeeper Drissa Bamba joins Rivers United

FC Ifeanyiubah goalkeeper Drissa Bamba has completed his move to Rivers United as a replacement for the departed veteran Sunday Rotimi.

Mali International, Bamba has seen off his two-year contract at ‘The Anambra Warriors’ and has decided it was time to move on.

 

As per ScoreNigeria, he held contract talks with the hierarchy of ‘The Pride of Rivers’ after their third-place triumph over SKE at the Abakaliki Stadium.

 

“My contract with FC ifeanyiubah has ended. I don’t want to extend it because I want to move on and face fresh challenges elsewhere”, Bamba told reporters.

 

“I had a good time, but I just need to move on.

 

“I found Rivers United ideal for me. Before making up my mind,  I sought the advise of Sunday Rotimi who gave me good compliments about the club, hence my decision to honour their invitation.

 

“I hope to achieve good things with them because I’m motivated to win trophies which also talked with the ambition and mentality of the club”.
