The City of Manchester was thrown into mourning on two nights before the UEFA Europa League final, when a suicide bomber on May 22, 2017 attacked a Music concert where American pop star, Ariana Grande had performed.
Manchester United were due to play Ajax in the final of the competition in Stockholm, Sweden, but the devastating news of the attack, which claimed 22 lives, many among the dead were kids, rattled Jose Mourinho and his players.

The City’s two premier League clubs as well as footballers globally, were in solidarity, as condolences poured in. Even former Ivory Coast International and Man City midfielder, Yaya Toure donated £50million to families of the victims.
Two weeks later, Ariana Grande has returned to the city, meeting up with victims of the suicide attacks ahead of her One Love Manchester Benefit Concert on June 4.
According to British online news website, dailymail, the father of a little girl injured in the Manchester terror attack said his daughter ‘feels like a rock star’ after meeting Ariana Grande.
Lily Harrison was among scores of people injured when a suicide bomber set off a homemade device at the Manchester Arena on May 22.
The eight-year-old is recovering in hospital after suffering a shrapnel wound and bruised lung in the terror attack.
She had a major boost on Friday night when she met pop star Grande as she visited young fans in the Royal Manchester Children’s hospital.
Meanwhile, Ariana Grande will perform, alongside Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Take That, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Usher, Niall Horan and more, at her One Love Manchester Benefit Concert on Sunday.

The gig will take place at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground to raise money for the victims of the Manchester terror attack and their families.
