Leroy Sane has been left out of Germany’s World Cup squad for Russia 2018 by manager Joachim Low, despite having a stunning season in Manchester City’s EPL-winning campaign.
Sane, Bayer Leverkusen pair Bernd Leno and Jonathan Tah and Freiburg striker Nils Petersen were all dropped as Joachim Low cut the defending champions’ 27-man provisional squad to 23.
The 22-year-old, who this season was named PFA Young Player of the Year, scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists for City as they cruised to the Premier League title as well as the Carabao Cup.
