Former coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Manu Garba has cautioned the current Eaglet team to eschew anxiety ahead of today’s final clash against the Baby Elephants of Cote d’ivoire incidentally a side they have lost to already in their opening game of the competition.
Garba speaking in a chat with www.brila.net urged the team to be calm and composed against their Ivorian counterpart notwithstanding how shaky their start to the tournament may have been.
He also added that he believes by now the team would by now have been better having played more games together and seen all forms of result already.
“At international level they have seen it now, so the fear factor I think will be removed by now, they need to keep calm, they need to work hard, they don’t need to fear again, they have to put in everything, the coaches too need to psyche them up. They need to work on some of these problems and the players need to be calm when it comes to goal scoring.”
