Rivers united and Super Eagles player Ifeanyi Anaemena has stated that the high profile international friendly scheduled for next month between the El Tri of Mexico and the Super Eagles of Nigeria is a career boosting opportunity for players in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Anaemena speaking in a chat with brila.net said the game has big significance for players this time around with the opportunity to play and test themselves against a country like Mexico. He added that players will also have the chance to raise their capacity and bring out their best which could be pivotal to their career as footballers.
“It’s a big program to have hosted such game to encourage the homebased players to be in good shape and to give out their best and give out good attributes of themselves and I know there are lot of good players in the NPFL and I know this opportunity is for us to raise the tendency and our own capacity as players and it will also go a long way in boosting out careers.”
NB* Players are expected to start arriving camp today in Abuja ahead of the friendly against Mexico. Adekunle Adeleke of Abia warriors is yet to be cleared to go for the national team camp because Abia warriors want him to play against Enyimba on Wednesday before leaving for the national team camp.
