Gernot Rohr is convinced that the next month’s friendly Mach against Mexico is very good test for the home based Super Eagles ahead of upcoming CHAN.
The home based stars will trade tackles with the CONCACAF champions in United States of America on the 3rd of July.
The team trained for the first time under the watchful eyes of Nigeria Football Federation technical director Austin Eguaveon and his assistant Paul Aigbogun at Goal Project in Abuja.
Speaking to the press in Abuja, the Rohr said he’s happy the boys will get to see competitive game under their belt, before heading for Chan.
“This is a team for CHAN, the game is a good preparation for them. Mexico is a very good team, with good players and history, and so I expect very tough match from them. “
“As for our team, the match will be a very good test for them, and opportunity to try and force their way into the Super Eagles A team,” Rohr added.
