MFM FC on Course to Emulate “Glorious” Leicester City

Nigerian Premier League leaders, Mountain of Fire Ministry FC (MFM FC) are proving they’re capable of becoming the best team this 2016/17 NPFL Season.

Fidelis Ilechukwu has engineered a solid and impressive team this term; guiding MFM FC to 10 wins in 18 matches so far.

Although it may seem too early to decide where the league title will rest, but early signs suggests that the Lagos team may just emulate what Leicester City achieved in the English Premier League last season.
Leicester, who were battling relegation two seasons ago, ended up surviving the drop and went on to secure the EPL title last season.
The same happened to MFM FC in 2016 as they barely managed to escape relegation, but now sit on top the NPFL table with 33 points from 18 matches .
It begs the question now whether Ilechukwu can keep the team’s current momentum for the rest of the season.
His side has displayed some exciting football, entertained fans and in the same vein blown away opponents at their home ground in Agege.
Noteworthy though, the club is just one point above Plateau United , who have a game in hand. This means there is much work for the Olukoya Boys to do if they are to clinch the NPFL title and emulate the “glorious” Leicester City.
