Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju expects that there’ll be an air of pressure and apprehension in the team as the 2019 Afcon qualifiers reaches a crucial stage.
Nigeria plays back to back in the qualifiers against group leaders, Libya, with just a point separating the teams and Adepoju believes the Eagles must feel they have a point to prove.
He told Brila.net that missing back to back editions of the competition is a setback that still haunts the team, and presented with the chance to make amends, the current squad can deliver.
The first-leg of the Libya match holds on 13 October in Uyo; three days later the sides clash in the reverse fixture in Tunisia.
