Moffi nets as Lorient clears Lyon’s doubts

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi was on target as Lorient beat Lyon 3-1 in Wednesday Ligue 1 fixture at the the Stade du Moustoir.

The Nigerian was back on the score sheet, after firing blank against AC Ajaccio over the weekend.

Lorient went ahead just six minutes into the match, thanks to a fine finish from Enzo Le Fee, before Alexandre Lacazette restored the parity in the 28th minute.

Moffi took matters into his own hands and restored Lorient’s lead in the 33rd minute, converting from Dango Ouattara’s assist.

Ouattara however sealed an impressive victory for Lorient with the third goal in the 49th minute.

There was no further goals in the second half of the game as Lorient held on for what was their biggest win of the campaign, so far.

Moffi now has five goals for Lorient in the league this season and the forward will be aiming to add to his tally when Lorient hosts Nantes on Sunday.
