Brest took the lead through Roman Del Castillo on 17 minutes.
Moffi then restored the parity for Lorient seven minutes later, thanks to a delightful assist from french midfielder Laurent Abergel.
The Nigerian international then sealed the comeback win with a nice strike in the 53 minutes.
Lorient then held on for the vital three points and increased their tally for the campaign 25 points from 10 matches, a single adrift Paris Saint-Germain.
