Morocco based former national team Handball player Obinna Anih says he’s enjoying his time in the North African country but missed playing in Nigeria and would love to play handball again in Nigeria.
Anih who played for Benue Buffaloes moved from Gabon to play in Morocco says he won’t mind returning home immediately If the sport experience drastic improvement.
He said, “Handball in Morocco is amazing but I am looking forward to return to Nigeria because the coaches in Nigeria manage players properly. In morocco, you have to play according to the fans and not to the coaches. I know if the league grows, I might come back to continue playing club side handball”.
Anih laud the President of Handball Federation of Nigeria, Samuel Ocheho for inviting players who plies their trade outside the shore of Nigeria during the build up to the last Nation’s Cup.
“My suggestion to this current board is to keep the good work going. When Samuel Ocheho came on board, we witness so many changes and things have been progressing. It has been a long time they called professionals to come represent Nigeria at the Africa Nation’s Cup and we were opportune to wear the colors of Nigeria”, Anih said.
