Former Nigeria international Victor Moses helped Spartak Moscow beat Dinamo Moscow 2-1 in their Russian Premier League clash at the VTB Arena on Saturday night.
The 2013 African Cup of Nations winner scored one of the goals for the visitors who came from behind to snatch a memorable derby win on their enemy’s territory.
Moses equalized for Sparta Moscow at the half-hour mark after Pavel Maslov scored an own goal in the 19th minute.
The 29-year-old later went off in the first half due to injury and he replaced by Nail Umyarov.
Moses’ injury didn’t demoralize Sparta Moscow as Anton Sobolev netted a 63rd-minute penalty to seal the three points.
Reacting to the derby win, Victor Moses posted on his verified Instagram handle: “Massive win in the derby today! Great performance from the boys and always good to get on the scoresheet ⚽😃💯.”
Moses who is on loan from Chelsea has now scored twice in 12 matches for the Russian giants this season.
