Victor Moses is impressed with Spartak Moscow’s victory over Napoli in the Europa League.
Moses played a significant role as the Russians defeated the Italian Serie A leaders 2-1 at the Otkritie Arena last night.
Russian forward Aleksandr Sobolev scored a brace for the Russians and the 29-year-old former Nigerian international assisted the second goal.
Moses has now assisted four goals for Spartak Moscow in the Europa League and also scored twice.
Reacting to the results, Moses described it as an important win for his team in the race for qualification for the round of 16.
” Another Important victory for the team ” the former West Ham and Liverpool winger said in a social media post.
The Russian side’s victory has them top of the group with Napoli in second place, level on points. But if Leicester City and Legia Warszawa’s game ends in a win, the Serie A club will slump down to the third position in Group C with one game left to play.
Moses won the competition twice with Chelsea and played in another final with Italian Serie A giants, Inter Milan.
