Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon is reportedly seeking an exit from Ligue 1 side Nantes this summer.
Simon, 29, is under contract with the Canaries until 2026 but is said to be unwilling to extend his stay beyond the current deal.
According to French outlet Foot Sur, Nantes are now open to selling the Nigerian international in order to avoid the risk of losing him for a lower fee next summer.
Since joining Nantes on an initial loan from Levante in 2019, Simon has become a fan favourite and a key figure at the club.
His move was made permanent in 2020 for €5 million, and he has since grown into one of their most consistent performers, even serving as vice-captain.
This season, the pacey winger has been in fine form, registering seven goals and nine assists in Ligue 1, a tally that places him joint-third in the league’s assist charts.
In total, Simon has made 198 appearances for Nantes across all competitions, scoring 36 goals and providing 41 assists.
He was instrumental in Nantes’ 2022 Coupe de France triumph, a historic achievement that cemented his legacy at the club.
Yet, with the team struggling near the relegation zone and just four points clear of the drop, Simon is believed to be looking for a fresh challenge.
According to reports, Everton are looking at the winger as an option, as their scouts have been monitoring Simon closely in recent weeks.
Nantes are expected to demand a fee in the region of €15 million for the Nigerian attacker.
Simon’s departure would mark the end of a significant chapter for both player and club, as he looks to test himself in one of the world’s most competitive leagues.
