Kano Pillars have named Ibrahim Musa as the “acting head coach” to replace Kadir Ikhana, who resigned his appointment on health grounds on Sunday.

Musa was a member of the coaching staff under Ikhana and he’ll serve in an interim position until the “appointment of substantive T/A for the club” [sic] according to the tweet.

The Club tweeted the decision on Wednesday following Ikhana’s shock resignation on Sunday after missing the team’s rescheduled matchday 9 league tie against Enugu Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.

To make it clear, Kadiri Ikhana was not sacked, he resigned and the management accepted his resignation.

Ikhana was named Technical Adviser at the beginning of the season replacing Mohammed Babaganaru.

The four-time champions are currently in 12th position on the NPFL table after the first stanza of the league.
