Musa shines as Fatih Karagumruk gets off the mark

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa played an important role as Fatih Karagumruk secured their first win of the season.

The Nigerian winger started Saturday’s game against Ankaragucu from the bench, and was introduced by coach Andrea Pirlo in the 67th minute.

Musa replaced Ebrima Colley and was able to cause opposition’ problems with his pace and quick feet.

He had 13 touches, created one chance and made one key pass in what was his third game of the season for Fatih Karagumruk.

Andrea Pirlo, however, won the game 4-1 to get off the mark in the Turkish Super Lig.

Former Chelsea and Liverpool forward Fabio Borini netted a brace, while Salih Dursun and Mbaye Diagne scored once each.

Rayyan Baniya’s unfortunate own goal earned the opposition a consolation.
