Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa says the upcoming matches with the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone is a different ball game from their last outing with Tunisia and Algeria.
The Super Eagles lost to Algeria and drew against Tunisia in October’s international friendlies played in Austria.
The team is currently training at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo state, ahead of the 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
While speaking after training, Musa said the team is battle ready for the games and told Nigerians to expect a much improved and motivated Super Eagles.
“As you can see the last two friendlies that we played there were a lot of young players in the team. So the coach try to give everyone a chance to show what they can do. Everyone is ready for the game against Sierra Leone,” he said.
Musa also added that the target of the team is to pick at least four points from both matches, in order to seal tickets to Cameron 2022 Afcon.
“Our target is to get four points from the two games. We are waiting for the game on Friday.” he concluded.
