Former Super Eagles attacker Mutiu Adepoju has stated that the two AFCON qualifiers to be played by the Super Eagles will be different from the previous ones played in 2020.
The Super Eagles team couldn’t win a match last year and they got the fans disappointed when they were held to a 4-4 draw in Benin City against Sierra Leone.
Adepoju in a chat with brila.net stated that he is confident this year will be different from last year. The former Real Madrid B player is sure that the team’s handlers and players must have learned from their mistakes.
“I believe this year will be different from last year, the year 2020 came with a lot of challenges that include COVID19, the Super Eagles has a unit also had their own bad time – It is normal in life,’ The headmaster said.
“I believe this year is going to be different majorly because our players are playing very well in their clubs which is very important, and I am very sure the players would have learned from what happened last year against Sierra Leone when they were held to a draw in Benin,’ He added.
