Nantes manager, Antoine Kombouaré has revealed he gave Simon permission to spend little time with his family, after Nigeria’s elimination from the 2021 African Cup of Nations.
The manager, however, expects the Super Eagles winger to report to training with the Club on Friday.
Simon was impressive for Nigeria in the tournament as he contributed a goal and assist, before suffering elimination against Tunisia.
Speaking in his presser ahead of Nantes’ French Cup clash against Brest on Friday, the manager revealed Simon is disappointed, but he’s looking forward to having him back.
“Regarding Moses Simon, I was able to have him on the phone yesterday (Tuesday).
“He is obviously disappointed with this elimination from the AFCON but also happy to come back with us. I permitted him to come back here Friday morning.” he said.
This season, Simon Moses has 6 assists, and 3 goals in 2460 minutes for Nantes.
