Victor Osimhen is expected to be back in action, at least in the next fourteen days, according to the Napoli doctor, Raffaele Canonico.

The striker suffered an hamstring injury during Napoli’s win over Liverpool in the Champions League on the 7th of September.

After spending the last few weeks on the treatment table, Raffaele Canonico provided an update on the Forward’s possible return date.

The Napoli doctor revealed that Osimhen was close to returning to full fitness, but won’t be ready for the home game against Torino on October 1 as well as the Champions League game at Ajax three days later.

“Pace is one of his peculiar characteristics. We are talking of an athlete whose top speed sprint is 34/35 km/h. To reach that and to achieve specific standards he must be well trained,” said the Napoli doctor.

” In general, the recovery time for these sorts of injuries is five weeks, so the week of the Cremonese clash (October 9) is crucial,” He concluded.
