Nasarawa united forward Adamu Hassan has rued his side’s painful and empty end to the season after losing the Federation cup final 4-3 on penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw at regulation time in Sunday’s final in Benin.
The loss meant Nasarawa united missed out on what would have salvaged a continental ticket for the team having missed the same on the final day of the league three days earlier.
Hassan speaking in a chat with brila.net said it was a bad way to end a promising season and also revealed that the team lost out on financial promises made by the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state.
