The opening ceremony of 19th National Sports Festival is set for today (Wednesday, December 6th) inside the Abuja National Stadium.
Brila.net gathered that a total number of 7, 227 athletes from 35 states alongside federal capital territory are expected to compete for honours at the game with Ebonyi the only state missing from action.
The opening ceremony is slated for 4 p.m today (Wednesday) and every athletes and delegates will be on parade in colour of their states.
Meanwhile, The host Minister Malam Musa Mohammed Bello said all the athletes, technical official, and state delegates have nothing to worry about as everything is in place to guarantee their safety throughout the festival.
“We have put all necessary logistics to ensure that the festival is hitch free. We have equally arranged a good transportation system for the delegates in all venues. We carefully selected the sports to be competed for,” said Bello.
