Fit again Akwa United defender, Olisa Ndah admits the clash against Kano Pillars is a must win, but maintains the team isn’t under pressure.
Akwa United are languishing at the bottom half of table after picking up just 6 points from a possible 18 and are just above the drop zone, thanks to their superior goal difference.
Kennedy Boboye’s side have won just once at home this season and with games against high-flying Pillars, Akwa United would hope to avoid slipping further in the table.
Speaking to brila.net ahead of the game, Ndah admitted the match is very important to their season, but insists they’re not hitting the panic button.
“We are looking forward to the game, Pillars is a very strong side with good players and huge history,” the Center Half said.
“We didn’t start the season the way we wanted, but we aren’t under pressure to prove our qualities against Kano Pillars, because we know what we can do on our good day.
“It’s a game we want to win and we’ll take it just like every other game in the league.”
Ndah recently returned to training after missing four weeks of action and Coach Kennedy Boboye is delighted to have him back.
