Ndidi getting closer to return from hamstring injury

Leicester City Brendan Rodgers says Wilfred Ndidi is not far away from regaining fitness following his recent injury.

Ndidi picked up a hamstring injury against Everton at Goodison Park last week and was replaced before the end of the first half.

The 24-year-old sat out of the last two matches against Leeds United and Fulham at Craven Cottage as he continued his recovery.

Rodgers has now provided an update on the Nigerian ahead of Sunday’s trip to the Molineux Stadium.

“We’ll see with him over the next hours, just whether it’s worth the risk or not,” Rodgers continued.

“He’s coming along very, very well. We’ll assess that. If not for the weekend, he’ll definitely be available for midweek (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion in the Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round.” Rogers said.
