Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were in action for their English Premier League Club side Leicester City as they defeat Bournemouth 2-0 on Saturday at the King power stadium.
While Ndidi returned from National team assignment to take his place in the starting line up for Foxes , Iheanacho who was ignored by Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr recently came on for Jamie Vardy on the dot of 90 minutes.
Wes Morgan put the Brenda Rogers side ahead in the 11th minute, before Jamie Vardy sealed the three points in the 82nd minute.
“I thought we were excellent,” Rodgers said.
“We showed a real appetite and hunger and tactically we were very good.
“Our pressing was excellent, the boys are understanding tactically how we want to press and the importance of that. Leicester Boss Rogers said after the game.
Leicester have now won three consecutive Premier League games for the first time since a run of four ending in December 2017 and up in eight position on the league standing.
Leicester’s next game is against already relegated HuddersfieldTown at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday, 6 April.
