Ndidi misses first EPL game since May 2018

Leicester City’s Stamford Bridge hero Wilfred Ndidi failed to make the side’s Sheffield United for Saturday’s Premier League match because of a hamstring injury.

Ndidi, who last missed a league game for Leicester City in May 2018 and has played all of the Foxes’ 33 league matches since then, was conspicuously missing from Brendan Rodgers’ starting line up.

According to Jordan Blackwell (leicestermercury.co.uk) the midfielder “drops out because of a hamstring injury, the Nigerian missing a league game for the first time since May 2018.”

Leicester City went on to win the game 2-1, courtesy of goals from Jamie Vardy (38′) and Harvey Barnes (70′); either side of Oliver McBurnie’s 62nd minute goal.

Meanwhile, Kelechi Iheanacho was not listed for the match, he is yet to make a league appearance for the club this season.
