Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has revealed the three African players who have impressed him the most in the English Premier League this season.

While Ndidi endured a difficult campaign with Leicester City, which ended in relegation from the Premier League, the 28-year-old took time to highlight standout performances from fellow Africans across the division.

Leicester managed only five wins all season, finishing 19th with 21 points from 35 games, just ahead of bottom-placed Southampton.

Despite his personal disappointment, Ndidi praised the consistency and impact of Ola Aina, Mohamed Salah, and Alex Iwobi.

“Ola Aina, Mohamed Salah, and then I’ll say Alex Iwobi,” Ndidi said when asked to name the most impressive African players this season.

“Not just because they’re Nigerians,” he added. “Ola is amazing. He’s that guy who has got zero problems. I’m not saying he doesn’t have any, but it feels like he solves people’s problems his own way with vibes.”

“He’s done really, really well. I think he’s one of the fastest players I’ve seen. He doesn’t look it, but he is.”

Aina has been a key figure for Nottingham Forest, making 32 appearances, scoring twice, and providing one assist.

His energy and tactical discipline have been crucial in Forest’s bid to stay competitive under Nuno Espírito Santo.

Iwobi, meanwhile, is enjoying his most productive Premier League season to date.

The Fulham midfielder has scored nine goals and provided six assists, helping the Cottagers push for a return to European competition after nearly two decades.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, a mainstay in any top-performer list, also earned a mention from Ndidi thanks to another prolific season in front of goal.
