Former Technical director of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria Navy Commodore Omatseye Nesiama rtd has stated that he feels honoured to have been recognised and contacted by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria to join its Technical committee which is one of the two critical committees formed at Thursday’s AFN board meeting in Abuja alongside the Medical and Anti doping committee.
Nesiama speaking in a chat with brila.net acknowledged the recognition and stated expressly that he has always been opened to the idea of serving Nigeria’s interest in whatever capacity and will contribute his quota to help Athletics perform at the Olympics.
“It’s a good thing to be recognised especially the work someone has done in the past. And I’ve always been opened to working and serving the country in whatever capacity I can deliver.
“This is one of the aspect that I know and I am happy that I have been recognised and called up to help the Nigerian team perform at the Tokyo games.”
