Super Eagles newly invited player Samuel Chukwueze scored in Villarreal’s 3-3 draw in the first leg round of 32 Copa Del Rey clash against Almeria played Mediterraneo stadium on Thursday.
Chema Nunez opened the scoring for Almeria in the 52nd-minute from the penalty spot but former Arsenal captain Santi Cazorla equalized for Villarreal in the 68th minute and an own goal from Francisco Callejon put Villarreal in front.
19-year-old Chukwueze scored his first senior goal in the 83rd minutes to make it 3: 1, However, Sekou Gassama turned the game on its head and scored twice four minutes from time to deny Villarreal the first-leg advantage ahead of the second leg at the Estadio de la Cerámica, formerly known as El Madrigal.
Chukwueze is invited by Coach Gernot Rohr for the Super Eagles 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier against South Africa and the friendly game against Uganda later this month.
