The Nigeria Football Federation, Barcelona and the Spanish LaLiga, Barcelona have congratulated Super Falcons Captain Asisat Oshoala after winning the 2019 Africa Women’s Player of the year in Egypt.
The former Arsenal and Liverpool ladies forward on Tuesday at the award held on Tuesday in Egypt, saw off South Africa’s Thembi Kgatlana and Ajara Nchout of Cameroon to win ber fourth African player of the year award.
After she was crowned as the winner, The NFF, Barcelona and LaLiga took to the media social handle to congratulate the forward.
La Liga write onTwitter handle: “Congratulations, AsisatOshoala!
“The Barcelona Ladies forward has been named African Women’s Player of the Year 2019.”
According to the NFF: “Keep soaring champ! Congratulations AsisatOshoala.”
And Barcelona wrote on their Ladies handle: “Asisat Oshoala African Women’s Player 2019 CAF Congratulations Zee!”
Oshoala has now won the award four time, equalling Nigeria’s Perpetual Nkwocha’s record.
