NFF set to offer Peseiro new Super Eagles deal

The Nigeria Football Federation will open talks with Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro over a new deal, according to reports.

Peseiro signed a one year contract as Super Eagles Coach, which would have kept him on the job until the 2023 African Cup Nations.

However with the Confederation of African Football postponing the AFCON by a further twelve months, it became necessary to renegotiate the deal.

Peseiro is now expected to pen a new one-year that will keep him charge of the three-time African Champions until 2024.

Peseiro got his reign as Super Eagles Coach off with a defeat to Mexico and Ecuador, but the team bounced back to beat Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Super Eagles currently top their qualifying Group with six maximum points and the squad will converge again in September for the double-header against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau.
