The Nigeria Football Federation is in talks with Seyi Olofinjana to take up a role with the Federation in the nearest future.
According to Nigerian Football expert, Adepoju Tobi Samuel, the FA already contacted the former Super Eagles midfielder who is based in Switzerland.
The proposed role with the FA will still allow the former Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder to continue his work as Grasshopper technical director.
Recalled, Olofinjana once turned an opportunity to take up a job with the NFF in the past and it remains to be seen if the FA can convince him this time.
In an interview with BBC Sport Africa, the former Wolves midfielder opened up on why he turned down the offer but leave room open for a future appointment.
“It was difficult, but at the same time, easy,” Olofinjana recalled.
“I think the federation made it a little bit easier for me to make that judgment call. There were certain questions I asked the federation that they weren’t able to answer.
In another development, Austin Eguaveon is expected to retain his job as the technical director of the Federation, despite the recent failure with the Super Eagles.
Eguavoen who is expected to see out his two-year contract was part of the NFF management meeting held last week in Abuja.
