NFF, Sunday Oliseh’s positions on vacant Super Eagles Coaching job

NFF, Sunday Oliseh’s positions on vacant Super Eagles Coaching job

The Nigeria Football Federation is not in talks with Sunday Oliseh to become Super Eagles new coach.

Media reports on Monday claimed that the  former Eagles coach was in the verge of getting reappointed after the dismissal of Austin Eguavoen and Emmanuel Amunike.

However, BRL sources have now debunked the reports and revealed the NFF is not considering Oliseh or any member of Super Eagles class of 94 for the role.

In addition, the Federation will consider hiring a foreign manager with a rich experience for the role.

In his first appointment as Super Eagles coach, Oliseh fell out with the leadership of the NFF and left the position under acrimonious circumstances.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview Oliseh confirmed he was not interested in returning to the position given his unpleasant past experience.

“No, I don’t have the intention of ever coaching the [Super] Eagles again,’ Oliseh said.

“I loved working with the boys, I love coaching my country, but the atmosphere around it was no longer healthy.

“I didn’t want the job anymore. Health-wise I was not feeling too good; secondly, we were owed salaries. I was spending money on my health and on my team. I just couldn’t die on the job,” he said .
