An NFF Technical Committee member, Garba Lawal has described the department in as a mere formal set up; where members are alienated and not allowed to do the job as should be.
Lawal, who also played for the national team, claimed members of the committee relied on the media for news on players invited to national teams or friendly matches organized for them.
Earlier in the week, 25 players were invited for camping in Corsica on 24 May, but Lawal insists there was no consultation with members of the committee before the list was made public.
The former Nigeria player said the committee was simply set up for “mere formality” because members don’t convene or get to delibrate on matters within their purview.
