Former Nigeria international Peter Nieketin has charged the organizers of the Nigeria Professional football League to embrace professionalism in the planning and scheduling of the topflight league in Nigeria.
Nieketin speaking in a chat with www.brila.net lampooned the lack of consistency in the structure of the league in Nigeria with regards to proper and consistent league calendar season and arrangement to ensure that teams don’t accumulate the unnecessary number of games as outstanding fixtures.
“Can we adhere into the ethics of professionalism which is still our major problem here, you will find out that we have the beginning of the league but it is not consistent, you will see games are been stopped, games are been postponed and at the end of the day it is very difficult for the games to be played again.”
