President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation Engr. Musa Nimrod has stated that the Federation is still awaiting the directive of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 to know her chances of winning the hosting right for the Beach Volleyball Olympic qualifying tournament.
Nimrod speaking in a chat with brila.net expressed strong hope that Nigeria is able to once again host the final round of the Beach Volleyball Olympic qualifiers like it did four years ago but have to simply make do with the peculiar nature of the current situation at hand with regards to getting the all clear to proceed.
“We hosted it last time and we still want to host it this time. On the way to Rio de Janeiro we hosted the final round and Nigeria is still interested in hosting the final round. Covid-19 has blocked our bid up till now. In Europe FIVB has said activities can commence but you know it depends on situation in Africa and in Nigeria.
