First vice-president of the newly inaugurated Nigeria Paralympic committee DCP Anderson Bankole has revealed plans to help develop Nigeria’s Para sports sphere of dominance beyond two sports so as to increase Nigeria’s medal chances in international para-sports competitions.
Bankole speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said Nigeria’s para-athletes have been a source of major medal hopefuls for Nigeria, hence the need to expand Nigeria’s medal capabilities by ensuring that other para-sports Federations witness remarkable growth.
Nigeria’s para power athletes emerged as the overall medal winner at the just concluded International Para Powerlifters championship in Lagos with 20 Gold, 15 Silver and 7 Bronze.
